Outlook Cellular Updates
Outlook App Stuck in Waiting Mode.
If you are being prompted to install the new Outlook app multiple times a week, here are some tips that could help reduce issues downloading.
Microsoft updates the Outlook app very often, and Apple doesn't allow apps over 200MB in size will not automatically update over cellular service unless authorized by the user. This results in the Outlook app being stuck in a waiting mode, unable to be used.

How to update Outlook.
The Outlook app should update automatically if connected to a Wi-Fi network.
If your Outlook app appears dark with the word "Waiting" underneath, this means the Outlook app has an update and is waiting to install it.

If you press on the app, you will get the option to download now over cellular data or later when you are connected to Wi-Fi.
Selecting Download will cause the app to start updating.
Update times will vary depending on your signal strength.
How to auto-update over Cellular service.
The steps above will solve your issue for now, but you will need to repeat these steps every time there is an update for Outlook, which happens very often.
Luckily there are some steps we can take to automate this process.
Open the Settings app.

From here, you will scroll down until you see App Store.

Next, make sure you have the following options on; you should see a green tab to indicate the settings are on.
- Cellular Data
- App Updates
- Automatic Downloads

Under the Automatic Downloads option, you should see App Downloads, select this option and verify you have Always Allow selected.

Once your settings match the ones above, this will help ensure your Outlook app and others like it stay updated at all times while you are not using the phone.
Still, Experiencing Issues?
Apps are still "Waiting" after making changes.
Tap on the waiting apps, and the Download should start momentarily.

Outlook is downloading very slowly, and you need access now.
Hold your finger on the Outlook app; a small menu will appear. Select Cancel Download. This will cancel the update and let you use the app.

Outlook won't update or isn't working correctly.
We can delete and reinstall the app if your Outlook fails.
Hold your finger on the Outlook app until a small menu appears,
If you are doing this while in the middle of updating your Outlook, select Cancel Download.
Next, hold your finger on the Outlook app again, and select Remove app.

On the following menu, select Delete App.

Finally, on the last menu, select Delete.

Now that the Outlook app has been uninstalled, we will get it back.
On your home screen, select the MobileIron Go app.

Once open, allow any notifications or location messages that might appear.
Select Settings in the bottom right corner of the main screen.

Select Troubleshoot

Select Check for Updates

Select Continue

Once you are done here, you may return to the home screen, and your device will start looking for updates and downloading any missing apps, including the Outlook app. This will take some time, depending on your signal strength.
